Cool Stuff & Services

(So far, just assume these are non-paid endorsements unless I note otherwise. Just neat stuff and services I’ve found.)

A Great Shopping Cart for Local Shopping on Foot

I mentioned The Sholley Trolley in a post, but I wanted to put it here as well. When I bought it, it was listed at $175, and I grabbed an Amazon credit card to get it down to $70 as a promotional deal. This thing’s great, but if it’s listed above $175, it might be worth it to wait and see if it goes down again.

A fantastic bonus that may still not be on the Amazon site is it’s rated at 120 pounds capacity according to the manufacturer in England. That’s more than twice most carts I’ve found:

Freehold Theatre

If you’ve ever considered trying an acting or playwriting class, this is the place to start. It’s a safe space, but you will be pushed to get past that comfy zone and into the creativity you were meant to experience. Check out their class catalog. The subcategories within each area are nearly infinite.

Note: As of my writing this, February 16, 2017, the theatre is getting ready to move from Belltown to the International District. So if you sign up or want to visit, send them an e-mail or give a call and double-check where they are.

I’ve only begun to explore all the possibilities of this writer’s haven, but after two seminars with the amazing Theo Pauline Nestor (memoir instructor extraordinaire), I’m currently saving my allowance for her nine-month class starting next fall. Check out their site.

Note: As of my writing this, February 16, 2017, they are in a temporary space on Columbia Street in Seattle as they get ready to move into cool new digs. So if you want to visit or sign up for a class, double-check to ensure you get to the right place.
